It was in 1995 that Pendulum of Mayfair was started. We purchased the effective freehold of King House, 51 Maddox Street, formally belonging to the great Fred Perry. Pendulum of Mayfair is a family business run by Valerie and Roy Clements and their two sons. We specialise in only the finest antique clocks, including grandfather, bracket and wall clocks. All our clocks are restored by our own workshop in Cheshire with superb trained staff. We offer an external antique clock repair and furniture restoration service. All our clocks are sold with a 1 year written guarantee.

Antique Bracket Clocks
Antique bracket clocks or sometimes called table clocks, usually are spring driven movements. We stock either one, two or three train movements.
Some of the bracket clocks have actually brackets to go with them but most were just placed on tables or mantel-pieces. Most movements tend to go for a period of 8 days on a wind. Bracket clocks can have either verge escapement or anchor escapements, the verge escapement examples tend to be earlier.
Antique Grandfather Clocks
We have a good selection of fully restored and genuine antique grandfather clocks for sale dating from the late 17th century to the 19th century. All our examples are of 12 inch dial size and less and most are pre C1810 examples where the movement is hand made by the clockmaker.

Biggleswade, BedfordshireI called to ask about a clock that I liked and wished to buy and was told it wasn't for sale yet as it had to be restored despite being on their website. When I asked how much it might be after restoration I was told £60,000 or more! I asked about how much another Long case clock was and the reply he gave me was that it was only for the serious collector. How on earth do they know by talking on the phone what my circumstances are. This company desperately needs some customer service training.
