The shop was established in the 1960's bymy grandmother Betty Gould and she ran it until well into her 90's. I remember accompanying my Gran on buying trips and house clearances as a 10 year old and have been dealing professionally for the last 25 years.

My career began with the good fortune of taking up a 6 year apprenticeship with the London and New York company of silver dealers, S J Shrubsole. At the same time, I studied at the Sir John CassSchool of Art and in 1979, obtained a City & Guild London Institute Diploma in Silversmith work and Allied Crafts.

Combining her passion for travelling with business, Lei sources the handmade pieces on regular travels to her native China as wellas Mongolia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam.
