We are a husband and wife partnership who commenced trading in 1986 in Lostwithiel Cornwall where we owned a shop at the bottom of Fore Street in The Parade Square. In 1993 we concentrated more on therestoration side of the business and operated from a workshop close to the River Fowey. We also have been exhibitors at the Newark International Antiques fair and also at Shepton Mallet.
We have been dealing in antique furniture and related items for over 25 years and regularly show at St Mellion and Wadebridge antique fairs. Items are also available for viewing at our workshop. Wealso have an outlet at The Stannary gallery in Tavistock.
The Old Palace has been home to a thriving Antiques business since the 1970's. Moving here in 2003, we had already been trading in the small cornish village of Polperro and took this opportunity toexpand our business into Lostwithiel, the 'Antiques Capital' of Cornwall. Over the past ten years we have evolved our shop, combining traditional country furniture with quirky and unusual interior pieces, from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

Mr. Scarecrow's Attic is a family business run by me - Nadeem, my wife - Rowan and our son Robert, who has recently joined us in the business, which we are very happy about. What started as a secondhand shop in 1998 has evolved into well, something rather different! We both genuinely love old, well made furniture and are always on the lookout for new pieces. On a trip to visit family in Nottingham we found a beautiful European dresser with bottle green glass doors.
