About the Business

Peter Light founded St. Martins Antiques Centre in 1993, the year George Eliot's novel, Middlemarch, was filmed in the town. Since then, the number of dealers has grown steadily, and now the centre has the capacity to lease space to over seventy exhibitors, homed on floor units, or in a range of cabinets.

Quality furniture items are also considered on a commission basis. The Centre has a variety of antiques unmatched in the surrounding area. Items range from £5 to £5,000. The centre's presence is well known, not only to local Customers, but those that travel from Europe and Overseas.

Now in its twenty first year, the Centre is run by Lucinda Silcock, Peter's daughter. Her experienced team are always on hand, happy to proffer advice, help you purchase fine quality antiques, or discuss your requirements if you are wishing to lease space or offer an item for commission sale.
