In particular we specialise in 20th Century antiques,architectural salvage, lighting and garden items, as well as English Rose and Paul Kitchens, all of which we can supply direct to your door. There are always new items available and a dedicated team on hand to answer enquries on anything you may see on this site.

Welcome to Widcombe Antiques, here is a little about us. We are a family run antique shop based in the beautiful city of Bath in the southwest of England. We offer a wide range of quality antiques andcollectibles at reasonable prices, mostly sourced locally.

We stock a wide range of genuine antiques, vintage & contemporary furniture, everything from tables, chairs, clocks, soft furnishings and many more items. We have 3,600 square feet of show room spacespread over two floors. Our staff offer a friendly and knowledgeable service whereby we will do our utmost to help you find the item you are looking for.

This family business was started by Simon's father in 1987 in the City of Bath where they traded for 10 years before relocating to the quintessential village of Freshford some 5 miles south of city.Simon then joined his father in 1997 where they renamed the business Freshfords Fine Antiques, When Simon's father retired in 2005 the business moved to its current location nearby, operating from a custom built gallery where viewing is by appointment only.

Joanna Proops, the owner of Antique Textiles and Lighthing, has had a lifelong love of beautiful antique fabrics, sewing and embroidery. She was making her own clothes by the age of ten, and hastaught herself the skills necessary to painstakingly repair rare damaged fabrics. She began her involvement with the antiques trade in the 1970s.

Hubert Antiques are a well established firm who have been in the trade for over twenty years. For nearly a decade he lived in France as a trade only dealer where he scoured the continental antiquesmarkets and auctions for decorative antiques acting as an antiques runner or "picker" for some well known dealers.

This antiques centre accommodates eight, well established antique dealers, supplying antiques and decorative items to the trade and general public. Visitors will find displays offering a wideselection of English, continental and country furniture as well as ceramics, glass, textiles, metalwork, collectors items and decorative objects. We have been selling English Furniture in Bath for over 30 years and offer a range of good quality 18th and 19th century furniture at sensible prices. We have a particular interest in the furnituremaker Gillows of Lancaster & London. Any restoration work is carried out in our own workshops to an extremely high standard. We are based in new purpose built premises near Frome, Somerset, where we are happy to see you but viewing is strictly by appointment only, so please contact us first.
