Temperley was established online in May 2013 by Lisa Temperley. A love of antique and vintage started for her some 25 years ago when she developed an eye for unique and one off pieces mainly for herself at this time and later selling antique and vintage ceramics via other platforms. Pieces for her website are sourced from all over the UK.

Lisa says of Temperley " I wanted to create an online antique and vintage store that would be informative and easy to use for our customers, incorporating some great photography of the pieces and I think that the site delivers this, I will continue with this ethos and will be building on this to keep evolving the website".

Temperley prides itself on bringing together beautiful objects from different eras, countries and makers into one online gallery and Lisa is also passionate about not only the journey of the object before she receives it but also in the journey of the object after it passes into the clients hands, she says "a number of our pieces have had such fantastic journeys with a wonderful history behind them and a great future ahead for many more years to come for instance a vase by Royal Worcester painted by Frederick Bray that has now gone back into the artists family", the client being Frederick Bray's great grandaughter, a special journey. The site is constantly changing along with the items chosen to be on our inventory, an eclectic mix of one off and beautiful objects is what Lisa hopes clients will think when they visit Temperley.
